Permit requirements vary between councils, but relocating a home generally involves two approvals — a permit to remove the home from its current site, and a building/planning permit from the receiving council to place, re-stump and reconnect it at the new site. As a VBA licensed relocator, we help guide you through what's needed at both ends. Many councils are increasingly open to relocated homes given the housing and sustainability benefits, though every municipality is different — we always recommend an early conversation with us and your local council before locking anything in.
Yes, we can transport homes interstate, including to Sydney. One thing to note: our builder's licence is Victorian, so while we handle the relocation and transport, the re-stumping and structural reinstatement at the other end needs to be carried out by a locally licensed builder in that state. We're happy to coordinate the transport and talk through how that handover works for your project.
